The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 or ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability. What you can expect from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a 4-part vodcast (video) and podcast (audio) series that provides an overview of the ADA, and information about the ADA in school settings, Medicaid services, and community settings.

ADA: an overview – This episode offers a basic overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the 5 titles of the ADA including Employment (Title I), Public Services (Title II), Public Accommodations (Title III), Telecommunications (Title IV), and Miscellaneous (Title V).
ADA in a school setting – gives an overview of the ADA schools, how the ADA applies to the 504 and IEP, and the differences between ADA, IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), and FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education).
ADA in Medicaid services – provides information about the ADA for adults in Medicaid services as well as a discussion around the ADA in residential and in supported employment settings.
ADA in the community – reviews information on the ADA in community settings including buildings and facilities, service animals, and technology.
